About

DUCSS is the Computer Science Society of Trinity College, Dublin.

The object of DUCSS is to further interest and knowledge in Computer Science by the promotion of events to foster and develop co-operation between persons involved in Computer Science, associated disciplines and the application of Computerised Systems and Interactive Entertainment Technology.

This means that we run events like programming tutorials and competitions along with hosting a myriad of guest speakers. We also continually run film nights and gaming tournaments throughout the year as well as nights out and other networking evenings to expand peoples understanding of computer science.

The DUCSS have a society room in the Hamilton. In the room, we have a 40″ TV, 4 PCs and a PS2 with rock band controllers. The room is open generally all day as there is always someone from the committee around.

Getting to the society room:
In the Hamilton building go to the door beside the vending machines (It’ll have a poster for the programming support centre on it). Go up the stairs and to the right. Someone should be there to welcome you.
